Listing
Price: All prices are in US$ unless otherwise indicated
and all prices are subject to change without notice.
Multiple Buyers: In the
event that multiple customers place an order for the same item
within 1 week (7 days) of each other, Khronos
Ancient Art will have absolute discretion to choose the
successful buyer. Under no circumstances will we be liable to any
party involved for direct or indirect damages incurred.
Right to
Refuse/Cancel a Sale: Khronos
Ancient Art reserves the unconditional right to refuse
any order or cancel any sale before items are physically shipped to
the customer. In the event that payment has already been made, our
liability shall be limited to a refund of monies
paid by the customer to us for the canceled transaction
in question. All sales are subject to availability of item.
Taxes (ON) :
Items sold or shipped to an address within the Canadian province
of ONTARIO are subject to the 8% PST (provincial sales tax). PST
must be added to the Listing Price, Shipping, Handling/Packaging and
Insurance fees for all items purchased. The PST is collected by us,
from the customer, on behalf of the Ontario Ministry of Finance.
Taxes/Duties/Tariffs/Brokerage
and Other Fees (International - Outside of Canada): Your
purchase may be subject to any number of fees assessed by the
following: Customs, the Courier Companies and/or their Agents
(including National and International Postal Services). These fees
may include, but are not limited to, Taxes, Duties, Tariffs,
Customs, Handling and Brokerage Fees. Knowledge and Payment of such
fees remains the sole responsibility of the purchaser. However, we
will try our best to make you aware of what cost you might expect in
this regard.
Import/Export:
Many countries have laws governing the import/export of
antiquities, ancient artifacts, restricted or controlled objects and
other objects of cultural importance. It is the sole responsibility
of the purchaser to be aware of and comply with local, national and
international laws as they pertain to their country. Failure to do
so may result in delayed arrival or seizure of your item, fines
and/or other unexpected unpleasantness. Khronos
Ancient Art shall assume zero (0)
responsibility or liability in all such affairs and by purchasing
any item from us, you clearly acknowledge and accept such.
Payment: Payment in full
for all orders is expected within fourteen (14)
days of the date Khronos
Ancient Art sends a confirmation email indicating that your
order has been received. Items not paid within this 14 day period
will be re-listed and your order will be cancelled. Acceptable
forms of payment are by Money Order (CAD$5.00 service fee
applies for international money orders), Personal or Business
Cheque, Email Money Transfer (Canada Only) and via Debit
/ Credit Card through PayPal (www.paypal.com).
PayPal payments below US$100.00 will be subject to a 5 % service
fee, from US$100.01 – US$10000.00 a 5 % service fee and for
>US$10000.00 service fee is charged at our discretion. In certain
circumstances, these service fees may be waived at our discretion.
Please clearly indicate your preferred payment method when you place
your order. If you indicate that you would like to pay by debit /
credit card through PayPal we will send you an electronic Payment
Request to the email address you provide us with. Cheques must
clear the bank before item(s) can be shipped (exception for
preferred clients with whom we have built a relationship).
Possession: No item shall
be removed from our premises nor shipped/delivered to the purchaser
until payment in full is received by us.
Shipping:
Items are usually sent out within 3 business days (Mon.-Fri.,
excluding holidays) of receiving payment in full. All costs
of shipping, packaging and insurance are to be paid by the
purchaser. All items are sent by traceable, insured means.
Insurance (when available) is provided through the courier used and
not by us. All insurance claims are to be made by the purchaser
directly to the courier. Purchasers should refer to the terms and
conditions of the specific courier service to be used to ship their
items. We shall bare no liability for items damaged, lost, stolen,
confiscated, withheld, or otherwise undelivered while in transit
from us to you. Once an item is surrendered by us to a courier our
part in the sale in that item is considered complete. After such
surrender we accept no liability except under our Authenticity
Guarantee. All items are shipped with an invoice and our written
Authenticity Guarantee.
Local Pickup:
Local Pickup of your purchase is available by appointment only.
Returns/Exchanges:
If you are not completely satisfied with your items you may return
them to us within Ten (10) Days of receiving shipment for a refund
of the listing price (including applicable taxes collected by us on
that amount but excluding shipping, packaging and insurance). After
this Ten (10) Day period, the purchaser may only return or exchange
an item for authenticity purposes as per our Authenticity Guarantee.

returning an item to us. Exchanges are accepted within Thirty (30)
days of purchase date. Items must be returned to us (at buyer's
expense) in the same condition as when we sent them out.
Returns/Exchanges of Damaged, Cleaned or Items Altered in any way
will not be accepted. Items sold on consignment (those with
inventory numbers ending in CN) or special order items (those with
inventory numbers ending in SO) cannot be returned/exchanged for any
reason.
Purchase Date:
Date on which item(s) are paid for in full. In the case of payment
by cheque, this will be the date on which the cheque clears not the
date appearing on the cheque itself.
Images/Descriptions
(Ownership): All listing images and descriptions
on the website of Khronos
Ancient Art remain the sole property of Khronos
Ancient Art in perpetuity. We reserve
the right to publish these at our discretion and pursue legal action
against anyone who illegally downloads or publishes our data without
prior written consent. Fair use for academic purposes is permitted
provided that our full name and URL (Khronos Ancient Art,
www.khronosgallery.com)
appear immediately after any content from our
site is used. For example, if an image from our site is used,
“Khronos Ancient Art, www.khronosgallery.com”
must appear in the image caption.
Images (Appearance):
Colours and textures often look quite different under various
lighting conditions and digital photographs will display differently
on various computer monitors. Digital images provided in item
listings are meant as a guideline only. Please be aware that items
may appear slightly different on your computer monitor than they do
in “real-life.”
Item
Descriptions/Comments: All item(s) are described
to the best of our knowledge at the time of listing based on
sources which may include relevant literature,
the input of other reputable dealers, archaeologists, museum
officials, past experience with similar items, etc. However,
Khronos Ancient Art
makes no representations, warranties or guaranties as to the
accuracy or completeness of comments and additional information
provided in our listings beyond the basic attribution of an item
(date, culture, etc.).
Dimensions/Measurements:
It is quite common that different measuring
devices (e.g. rulers, calipers, measuring tapes, etc.) yield
readings that vary slightly from each other. Measurements quoted in
item listings are approximate and meant as a guideline only.
Revisions/
Cancellations: All data viewed in this website are
subject to revision at any time without notice
and will be performed at the sole discretion of Khronos
Ancient Art. Listings may be cancelled at any time without
notice.
Reserving An
Item: Items of high financial
value may, at our discretion, be reserved by an interested party
for a predetermined period of time. Terms and Negotiations are to
be discussed with the client. The reserved item remains the
property of Khronos Ancient
Art until it is paid in full. Reserved items not paid in full
by the end of the last day of the reserve period will be re-listed.
Special
Orders: We will make every
effort to accommodate requests for specific items to fill your “wish
list.” If we find an item matching your description, we will
forward all available information in a timely and professional
manner. If you would like us to purchase the item on your behalf,
you will be required to provide us with a deposit of 50 % of our
sale price for the item. If we are unsuccessful in obtaining the
item, the deposit minus our transaction fees will be refunded or
credited to your account with Khronos
Ancient Art. If we succeed in obtaining the item, you will be
required to make payment of the remaining amount (including
shipping, packaging, insurance, and applicable taxes) within 14 days
of our sending you a confirmation (invoice) that your special order
has been acquired. Failure to make payment in full within this
period will result in the item being listed for sale as part of our
regular stock and forfeiture of your deposit.
Records:
Khronos Ancient Art
keeps thorough records of all item listing, sales, purchases and
consignments. In the event that a client loses an item (due to e.g.
fire, theft, flood, etc.) sometime in the future they may request,
in writing, the achieves pertaining to the lost object (a small fee
may apply). Please note that the client is responsible for keeping
their own records as well since we cannot guarantee that our achieve
will be free from omissions or data loss and assume no liability for
such.
Privacy Policy:
Khronos Ancient Art is
committed providing discrete customer service and protecting the
privacy of all its clients. Rest assured that we will NEVER
intentionally distribute, sell, publish or in any way share with any
third party the personal information you provide us, without your
express written consent. The only exception to this is in cases
where we are legally obligated to share this information with, for
example, law enforcement agencies, customs, national and
international governments.
