It almost looks black from a distance being made from the deepest, darkest colours of ancient faience mummy beads restrung on modern string (with modern clasp). A wonderfully wearable necklace of rich historical significance. It is interesting to note that the mummy beads still retain a faint hint ancient perfume. Quite extraordinary is the thought that we can experience these beads much as the Ancient Egyptians did over 2000 years ago, with multiple senses. This really adds to the historical experience.
